As we all know, the notion that the government might do something at all questionable is wacky in the extreme, and there's no way they would ever resort to something like murder to cover it up.
For example, there are some woo-woos that believe the CIA flooded the US with crack cocaine, selling it to street gangs in order to find a war in Nicaragua. All they have to support such a nonsensical claim is interviews and confessions, accounts of US agency official blockading attempts to investigate major crack dealers, and allowing a well-known dealer total freedom (even to the point of posing in photos with CIA operatives).

It's a totally unsupported claim. Just as it's obviously not the case the government agencies specifically stifled stories that drew similar connections between these crack-dealing factions and CIA operatives who would have to have known what was going on. And clearly only the most deluded woo-woo would believe the observable fact that the White House did what it could to smear the reputation of anyone that dared report on it.

"if you ask whether the United States government ignored the drug problem and subverted law enforcement to prevent embarrassment and to reward our allies in the contra war, the answer is yes."
Really just clowns.
And in the end when Gary Webb responded to the loss of his reputation and the concerted smear campaign with what was obviously just suicide, despite the fact there were two bullets in his head, what else would you expect from such woo-woo?

All unsourced, uncorroborated, unconfessed, huge leaps in logic.
And it's not as though established ability, desire and motive to deceive and kill would mean anything. And it's not like, even if this was true, it would only be the only one with enough bits and pieces to be noticed. No, this must be the only such nonsense conspiracy, and it's not even true.
Right?
